Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Cole Hamels exited Fridays contest versus the Reds with an undisclosed injury. Hamels walked off the mound as he was warming up in the bottom of the second inning. Mike Montgomery has replaced Hamels. Hamels pitched one inning and allowed a pair of hits and one run. More should be known as the night goes on about his status.
