After leaving Friday night's start with knee pain after pitching just three innings, Yankees starter CC Sabathia was placed on the 10-day IL on Saturday morning. Rating his pain as a "10", Sabathia will have a clearer timetable after the knee is drained and had a cortisone shot administered. New York recalled starting pitcher left-hander Jonathan Loisiaga from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to take Sabathia's place on the roster.
