Cardinals prospect outfielder Oscar Taveras hit a two-run home run in the first inning on Wednesday night. Taveras is hitting .192/.250/.462 over the first seven games of the Triple-A season with two home runs and one double. He has also struck out six times so far this season, which would put him on a pace well above his current season high of 56 strikeouts. This could be a product of all of the time he missed due to injury, so keep an eye on his strikeout rate.
