Burton (back) will play catch within the next few days, the Kansas City Star reports. Burton has been shut down since last Thursday with a strained lat, but appears to be on track to return to spring league action at some point next week. The 33-year-old signed a minor league deal with the club in February, and will likely need to be healthy and have strong showings toward the end of the spring in order to crack the big league roster by Opening Day.
