Burton (back) has re-signed a minor league contract with the Yankees on Sunday, The Westchester Journal News reports. Burton had been unconditionally released Thursday but the club has apparently decided to bring him back. The 33-year-old, who will likely begin the year with Triple-A Sranton/Wilkes-Barre, is still recovering from a strained lat and will resume playing catch later Sunday.
