Pineda (triceps) did some light throwing off flat ground Friday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Pineda landed on the injured list with a triceps injury Sunday but was cleared to begin a throwing program less than a week after the transaction. A timetable for the right-hander's return to game action isn't yet known, but it's encouraging that he was able to resume throwing so quickly after sustaining his injury.
