Bedard announced Thursday that he is retiring, J.P Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports. Bedard was attempting a comeback with the Dodgers organization, logging three starts at Hig-A Rancho Cucamonga. After some injury-filled seasons in Seattle, Bedard bounced around with Boston, Pittsburgh, Houston, and Tampa Bay. He never regained his form from the 2006-2007 seasons, which made him the centerpiece of a deal that sent him to Seattle for Adam Jones, Chris Tillman, George Sherrill, and others.
