Aybar was traded to the Tigers on Tuesday in exchange for Mike Aviles and Kade Scivicque.

EDGE Analysis

It's been a miserable season for Aybar, but he's been hot in August (18-for-54) and will fill an immediate need for Detroit with Jose Iglesias (hamstring) landing on the DL. Aybar has been caught on the basepaths five times in eight attempts this season and will be batting at the bottom of the order, so there's little reason to think Aybar contribute much in the stolen base category the rest of the way. That said, he'll have some appeal in deep AL-only leagues while he's still hitting.
