EDGE Analysis

The Tigers held Aybar out of Saturday's lineup with a sore left abdominal muscle, but the injury proved to be only a short-term concern. Since getting traded to the Tigers on Aug. 16, Aybar has gone 9-for-40 (.225 average), which has prevented him from capturing a full-time starting role. Until his production continues to lag, Aybar will have to battle Andrew Romine for duties at third base.
