Athletics manager Bob Melvin does not expect Davis (quad) to require a stint on the disabled list, CSN California's Joe Stiglich reports. Davis was removed from Monday's game against the Red Sox in the fourth inning due to a strained left quad. If he misses time beyond Monday, the A's will likely divide his at-bats between some combination of Mark Canha, Max Muncy and Sam Fuld.
