Athletics acquired RHP Chris Resop from the Pirates in exchange for RHP Zach Thornton. Resop, a dependable middle reliever, posted a 3.91 ERA and 46/24 K/BB ratio over 73 2/3 innings with the Pirates in 2012. He'll be a welcomed addition to an already strong A's bullpen.
