Although Aoki went 3-for-4 with a home run Sunday against the Twins, the Blue Jays opted to designate him for assignment. Since being acquired by Toronto on July 31, Aoki has played in just 12 games. Over said games he went 9-for-32 (.281) with eight RBI. In a corresponding move, Leonel Campos was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo.
