Angels designated infielder Brendan Harris for assignment. Harris homered in his last start for the Angels on July 10. He saw significant time in April with the Angels infield banged up, but he had received a total of 50 at-bats in the 2 1/2 months since. Overall, he was hitting .206/.252/.355 with four homers and nine RBI in 107 at-bats. It's unlikely that he'll be picked up on waivers.
