Brach (shoulder) has advanced to bullpen mound sessions after beginning a throwing program last week, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports. "He could be [ready] closer to Sept. 1, or so," Reds manager David Bell said. "[It was a] much-needed break, good thing is it was something he can come back from."
EDGE Analysis
With the Reds losing Tejay Antone again, they could really use the extra depth from Brach, though it's likely his appearances will come in lower-leveraged situations than before the injury.
