Adam Rubin of ESPN.com reports that Taylor Teagarden's minor league deal with the Mets includes an opt-out clause that he can exercise if he's not on the major league roster by June 15. The 30-year-old backstop faces an uphill battle trying to supplant Anthony Recker for the backup cather's job in New York. He has always held promise offensively though, and could be worth a look in NL-only leagues if he finds his way onto the Opening Day roster.
