Adam Rubin of ESPN New York was told by a source that while it's not guaranteed, they predict a trade sending Ramon Hernandez to the Mets will happen. "I think Hernandez will be a Met," the source said. Rubin adds that the Mets have tried to expand the deal to include lefty reliever Matt Reynolds. Hernandez is currently on the DL with a left hand strain but is due back soon. He would be an upgrade at catcher over Josh Thole. Joel Sherman of the New York Post first reported the Mets' interest in the veteran backstop.
