According to manager Buck Showalter, X-rays taken after Sunday's game on Hardy's wrist weren't encouraging, Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports. "Not good, not good," Showalter said. "We took an X-ray here, saw something that concerned us. I know he's got a scan in the morning and we'll have a little more definitive idea there."

Based on the skipper's words, it seems the Orioles have reason to believe Hardy suffered a fracture. If that proves to be true, the shortstop will be in for a lengthy recovery process. Either way, Hardy's fantasy owners should make an immediate plan to be without him this week. Ruben Tejada is the O's only other shortstop option, barring shifting Manny Machado from third base.
