Desmond is not in the lineup Monday against the Cubs, Kyle Newman of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Desmond will stick on the bench for a second straight game as the Rockies once again go with an outfield consisting of Raimel Tapia, David Dahl and Charlie Blackmon (from left to right) against right-hander Yu Darvish. With Blackmon back in the fold after a brief stay on the IL, Desmond could continue to settle back into the smaller side of a platoon.

Desmond is not in the lineup Sunday against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran has started to pick things up at the plate, posting a .914 OPS over his last 13 games. He could be back in a platoon role now that Charlie Blackmon has returned from his calf injury, as he started against lefty Steven Matz on Saturday but sits against righty Noah Syndergaard on Sunday. David Dahl slides over to center field in his absence, with Raimel Tapia starting in left.

Desmond will start in center field and bat seventh Sunday against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Desmond will draw a third straight start while Charlie Blackmon remains out with a calf issue. Assuming Blackmon's injury only proves to be a day-to-day concern, Desmond should fall back into a fourth-outfielder role before long. He did little to make a case for earning more playing time in the first two games of the series, going 0-for-7 with five strikeouts.

Desmond is not in Saturday's lineup against the Phillies, Kyle Newman of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Desmond has not started against a right-handed pitcher since May 1, and he appears to have fallen into the short side of a platoon with Raimel Tapia, who will start in left field against righty Aaron Nola on Saturday. The platoon has helped his numbers, as he is hitting .290/.405/.645 with two home runs over his last 10 games.

Desmond went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Friday night against Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
Desmond cut Colorado's deficit to one in the sixth inning with a two-run blast to left field, but the Phillies would emerge victorious. Despite leaving the yard Friday night, the 33-year-old is slashing .219/.284/.430 with 15 extra-base hits and 20 RBI through 39 games this season.

Desmond is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Even with the Rockies facing a southpaw (Nick Margevicius) for the fifth straight contest, Desmond will head to the bench as manager Bud Black rolls out an all-left-handed outfielder of Raimel Tapia, David Dahl and Charlie Blackmon. The Rockies are expected to face southpaws (Chris Sale and Eduardo Rodriguez) in back-to-back games Tuesday and Wednesday in Boston, so Desmond probably won't have to wait long to rejoin the lineup.

Desmond went 1-for-2 with three walks, a two-run home run and two runs scored Thursday against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Desmond took Derek Holland deep in the second inning to record his fourth home run of the season. With his hit today, he raised his batting average above .200 for the first time since Opening Day, an indication of how poor he's been to this point. On the bright side, three of his four home runs have come in his past 10 games, though that may not be enough for him to regularly maintain playing time over Raimel Tapia.

Desmond went 2-for-4 with two triples, an RBI and a run in Colorado's 14-4 defeat to the Giants on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Desmond took advantage of San Francisco's vast outfield, hitting a pair of three-baggers in a blowout defeat for the Rockies. He's still below the Mendoza Line with a .198 average through 106 at-bats, and has seen his playing time dip of late with the emergence of Raimel Tapia.

Desmond remains on the bench Sunday against Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
Desmond has sat for three of the last four games, with his only start coming against a lefty. He appears to be slipping into a platoon with Raimel Tapia, who again starts in left field, pushing David Dahl to center. If that is indeed the case, expect Desmond to make a run of starts in the near future despite his role being reduced, as the Rockies line up to face lefties in seven of their next eight games.

EDGE Analysis
Desmond hits the bench for the second time in three games. Raimel Tapia enters the lineup in left field, pushing David Dahl to center.
