Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Yankees has been postponed, but Liriano will pitch the scheduled night game if that game is not also postponed.
EDGE Analysis
The first game is not happening, but the second game has not yet been ruled out. Liriano will either pitch Sunday or Tuesday at home against the Orioles.

Liriano will start the first game of Sunday's doubleheader against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Expectedly, Liriano will toe the rubber for Game 1 of Sunday's twin-bill following the postponement of Saturday's tilt. Matt Boyd remains the starter for the series finale, which is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. (ET).

Liriano's scheduled start against the Yankees on Saturday was postponed due to inclement weather, and will be made up as part of a split doubleheader Sunday, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
It seems likely that Liriano will be tapped for one of Sunday's games alongside Matt Boyd, who was scheduled to pitch the series finale. There is also a very real chance that one or both of Sunday's contests will also get the hook with more bad weather coming into the Detroit area.

Liriano (1-1) was a tough-luck loser Monday against the Indians, as he allowed just two runs over six innings of work. He gave up three hits and three walks while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
Losses like this are sometimes just par for the course against Cleveland ace Corey Kluber, who shut the Tigers down over eight dazzling innings. Despite taking the loss, Liriano has been solid through two starts with his new team, as he has a 2.13 ERA across 12.2 innings. The veteran lefty will look to keep it going in his next start, which is scheduled for Saturday against a tough Yankees lineup.

Liriano (1-0) picked up the win against the Royals on Monday by tossing 6.2 innings of one-run ball. He gave up four hits and two walks, while striking out three.
EDGE Analysis
It was a great Tigers debut for Liriano, especially considering he posted a 5.66 ERA and 1.63 WHIP last season with the Blue Jays and Astros. The veteran lefty really hasn't been fantasy relevant since 2015, so it's probably wise to see if he can string together a few good starts before fully buying in. He will look to build on this strong 2018 debut in his next scheduled outing Sunday against the White Sox on the road.

Liriano is scheduled to make his season debut Monday against the Royals, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rainouts Thursday and Saturday created the need for a doubleheader Sunday, so the Tigers pushed Michael Fulmer a day in the rotation to start Game 1 of the twin bill and recalled Ryan Carpenter from Triple-A Toledo to serve as the club's 26th man and starter for Game 2. As a result, each of the remaining four members of the rotation -- Liriano, Matt Boyd and Daniel Norris and Jordan Zimmermann -- will all move back one day in the pitching schedule. The change could prove beneficial for Liriano, who now draws a matchup against a weaker Kansas City lineup missing one of its top hitters in Salvador Perez (knee).

The Tigers are not currently listing a starter for the second game of Sunday's doubleheader against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
The two teams were rained out again Saturday and will make it up right away as part of a twin bill. Michael Fulmer will start the first game, but the Game 2 starter is "TBA." It figures to still be Liriano -- he was slated for Sunday originally -- but the fact that the Tigers aren't listing him yet suggests they are at least considering other options.

Liriano is slated to start the Tigers' third game of the season on Sunday at home against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
Liriano earned a rotation spot with his strong performance this spring, as he posted a 2.25 ERA and 17 strikeouts in 16 innings. The 34-year-old's last standout fantasy season was in 2015, as he posted a 4.69 and 5.66 ERA the last two years respectively. However, given the lack of other solid options in Detroit at the moment, Liriano might at least be able to rack up some innings this year, and he could be a streaming option in the right matchups.

Liriano allowed just two runs on five hits over six innings in Monday's Grapefruit League tie with the Rays. He struck out six and walked two.
EDGE Analysis
Liriano ends his spring training slate with a solid 2.25 ERA and 17 strikeouts across 16 innings. Signed in the offseason to provide veteran depth, the 34-year-old earned a rotation spot with his strong performance. However, after finishing with a 5.66 ERA and 1.63 WHIP over 97 innings last year, expectations should be tempered with Liriano, at least until he proves himself during the regular season.
