Valencia went 1-for-3 with three RBI from a bases-loaded double in Tuesday's 12-3 win over the Twins. He also walked and scored twice.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran infielder essentially broke the game open in the fourth with his bases-clearing two-bagger, vaulting the Mariners to an 8-2 lead at the time. It was Valencia's third multi-RBI effort in the last six contests and extended what has been a torrid stretch at the plate, one that's seen hit .588 and compile a whopping 10 RBI over his first five games of June.

Valencia went 4-for-4 with an RBI single and three runs in Saturday's 9-2 win over the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Valencia opened the scoring on the night for Seattle with a first-inning single that plated Nelson Cruz, and he went on to add three more hits to keep his average over the first two games of the series to a perfect 1.000 (7-for-7). The tear to open June is simply an extension of the momentum the veteran started to build in May, as he's finally rewarding both the Mariners and fantasy owners with the caliber of performances that he'd proven capable of in previous stops during his career.

Valencia went 3-for-5 with five RBI from a three-run home run, run-scoring single and bases-loaded walk in Friday's 12-4 win over the Rays. He scored three times overall.
EDGE Analysis
Valencia now has three multi-hit efforts over his last five games and has racked up nine of his 25 RBI on the season over that stretch as well. His homer Friday was his first since May 10, but he's now compiled a .370 wOBA, four round trippers and a 39.0 percent hard contact rate since May 2 after hitting just .181 in April.

EDGE Analysis
Valencia's second-inning two-bagger opened the scoring on the day and gave the veteran infielder a solid 14 RBI in May. The 32-year-old wraps up the month having reached safely in nine straight games and having generated a .306/.364/.459 line over 107 plate appearances.

Valencia, who went 3-for-5 with an RBI single and a double in Monday's 6-5 win over the Rockies, is hitting .333 in his 25 plate appearances since returning from a three-game absence due to a wrist injury.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran infielder also sports a 42.1 percent hard contact rate over that stretch and has now hit safely in seven straight games. Valencia has been much better overall during May after hitting just .181 in April, as he's slashed .311./.367/.467 while compiling a .361 wOBA and making hard contact at a 38.8 percent clip during the month. His strikeout rate (23.5 percent) still leaves plenty of room for improvement, but he's had much better fortune when making contact recently; after generating a .222 BABIP in April, Valencia has seen a notable boost to .391 in that category during the current month.

Valencia (wrist) is back in the lineup for Wednesday's contest with the Nationals, batting cleanup and playing first base, Bob Dutton of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
After nearly returning Tuesday night, Valencia will actually hop back into action Wednesday night. He'll get a favorable spot in the order thanks to Nelson Cruz getting the night off, but he'll need to improve upon his .239 batting average if he really wants to take advantage of it.

Valencia (wrist) was a late scratch from Tuesday's lineup, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Valencia was originally slotted in as the first baseman for the Mariners' game against the Nationals, but it seems like his wrist may still be bothering him. Consider him day-to-day for now. Taylor Motter will move into the lineup to replace him.

Valencia (wrist) is back in the lineup Tuesday against the Nationals, batting sixth and playing first base, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Valencia missed the past two games due to a sore wrist, but after an MRI revealed that there was no structural damage, the Mariners will slot him right back into his normal spot in the lineup. However, the 32-year-old has been in a slump at the plate as of late, picking up just three hits in the past seven games.

Valencia's recent MRI on his wrist confirmed there were no broken bones and he'll therefore avoid the disabled list, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran originally injured the wrist on a slide in Friday's game against the White Sox, and the discomfort was sufficient to keep him out of the lineup over the weekend. He officially remains day-to-day, with an opportunity of returning to the lineup against the Nationals on Tuesday.
