Nava is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Nava's path to regular playing time has been made clearer by the Phillies' recent decision to remove Michael Saunders from the 40-man roster, but he'll give way to Cameron Perkins in left field Wednesday following two straight starts. Though Nava upholds an excellent .280/.393/.419 line over 112 plate appearances this season, he's lost a bit of steam from his hot start, going just 2-for-20 with eight strikeouts over his last six contests.

Manager Pete Mackanin said Thursday that he wants to continue giving Nava an opportunity to play, Marc Narducci of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. "I am going to use him as much as I can to try to get as much offense as I can at this point," Mackanin said. "He has done a great job so far for us."
EDGE Analysis
Nava started his fifth straight game Thursday and has seven hits, including a home run, in 22 at-bats over that stretch. He's hit .310 with an .886 OPS and three homers in 84 at-bats overall this season. If he continues to produce it is possible Nava could be moved to a contender next month as he would provide solid outfield depth for a club headed toward the playoffs.

Nava went 3-for-6 with a double and a run scored in Monday's 6-5 loss to the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Nava started in left field for a second straight game Monday and has a chance to carve out some significant playing time while Howie Kendrick covers second base for the injured Cesar Hernandez (oblique). Nava's primary competition for at-bats is Michael Saunders, who has just one hit this month and has struggled for most of the season. Manager Pete Mackanin indicated that Saunders would sit the next three games with the Phillies expected to face three left-handed starters. Nava will likely be in the lineup for all three games.

Nava went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Nava got the start in left field with Howie Kendrick shifting to second base in place of the injured Cesar Hernandez (oblique). Manager Pete Mackanin told Jim Salisbury of CSN Philadelphia that he wants to find more playing time for Nava and Hernandez's injury gives him that opportunity. Nava has played sparingly this season, but has hit .313 with a .927 OPS and three home runs.

Nava will start in left field and bat second Sunday against the Cardinals, Jim Salisbury of CSN Philadelphia reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Howie Kendrick moving over to second base following Cesar Hernandez's (oblique) placement on the disabled list and Aaron Altherr receiving the afternoon off, Nava will check into the lineup for the first time since being activated from the DL earlier this month. Nava has an excellent .306/.436/.452 batting line over 78 plate appearances on the campaign, but with no route to regular playing time, he'll be difficult to rely on in season-long leagues while the Phillies enjoy sound health in the outfield.

Nava (hamstring) was reinstated from the 10-day DL on Friday, Stephen Gross of The Allentown Morning Call reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Nava was returned to the active roster upon completion of a short minor-league rehab assignment. He will not slot into the lineup right away Friday, and Nava figures to see only occasional starts in the outfield corners moving forward. He hit .305/.425/.458 with two homers, eight RBI and a 12:10 BB:K in 29 games (13 starts) before going down with the hamstring issue.

Nava (hamstring) will likely come off the disabled list Friday, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nava, who started a rehab assignment Tuesday, has been sidelined since May 20 with a hamstring strain. He'll return to a reserve role when he comes off the disabled list.

Nava (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Monday, Meghan Montemurro of The News Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nava has already been sidelined for the requisite 10 days due to the hamstring injury, so once he completes the rehab assignment, he'll be immediately eligible for activation. With a .425 on-base percentage over 73 plate appearances this season, Nava has been a pleasant surprise for the Phillies, but he won't be in line for a regular starting role once he's back to full strength. Aaron Altherr, Odubel Herrera, Michael Saunders and Howie Kendrick (oblique) all seem to rank ahead of Nava in the outfield pecking order.

Nava was placed on the 10-day disabled list Tuesday with a right hamstring strain, Ryan Lawrence of PhillyVoice.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
This marks the first hamstring injury of Nava's career, so although he's eligible to come of the disabled list May 30, it's remains unclear when he'll be ready to return from the ailment. The 34-year-old, who was slashing .305/.425/.458 in 59 at-bats before the injury, should return to a reserve role once he is healthy enough to play. Pitcher Adam Morgan was added to the roster to take his place for the time being.

Nava said he does not think his hamstring injury is serious, Corey Seidman of CSN Philadelphia reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nava has not had a hamstring injury in his career, so he is unsure when he'll be ready to return to action. He suffered the injury during the third inning of Friday's game, but stayed in three more innings before heading to the bench. Nava will return to a reserve role when he is healthy enough to play.
