Lewis (shoulder) will throw 65 pitches in a rehab start Monday at Double-A Frisco, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
EDGE Analysis
Monday marks Lewis' second rehab outing since landing on the disabled list with a lat strain in June. Lewis allowed one earned run over 2.2 innings in his first appearance, but he's expected to stretch out to closer to four innings Monday. If all goes well, Lewis should remain on track for a return in early-to-mid September.

Lewis (shoulder) is in line to return to the rotation Sept. 3, Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
The move is contingent on Lewis making it through Monday's rehab outing without incident, and would put him in line to face the Astros in his first start. Before making an official determination though, he's set to throw about 65 pitches at either Double-A Frisco or Triple-A Round Rock in his second -- and potentially final -- rehab start.

Lewis (shoulder) will throw three innings in a rehab start for Double-A San Antonio on Wednesday, T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Rangers had circled Aug. 24 for the start of Lewis' rehab assignment and he will indeed hit that target, having built up to 41 pitches in a recent side session. Lewis figures to require at least one additional rehab outing beyond Wednesday to build his pitch count up further but he appears on track for an early-September return to the rotation.

EDGE Analysis
Lewis was able to throw 41 pitches in the bullpen Tuesday, but will likely need at least three starts in the minors before he's ready to rejoin the Texas rotation.

Lewis (shoulder) will throw live batting practice in Tampa on Friday, Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
On the heels of a successful 41-pitch standard bullpen session Tuesday, Lewis is now slated for one final test before heading out on a minor league rehab assignment. The peripherals don't support an ERA anywhere close to Lewis' current 3.21 mark, but he was one of the Rangers' more reliable starters before going down and there's no doubt that he'll have a rotation spot waiting for him.

Lewis (lat) continues to throw from flat ground but could progress to mound work by late next week, T.R. Sullivaan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis is eligible to return from the 60-day DL on August 21, but his current rehab progress puts a return in early September the most likely scenario. Lewis was 6-1 with a 3.21 ERA and 1.02 WHIP before being injured.
