Clay Buchholz Will Start Tuesday rotoballer.com Sun 7/22/18 3:34 PM

Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Clay Buchholz (oblique) will return from the disabled list to start Tuesday against the Cubs. Buchholz has been way better than anyone could've expected for Arizona this year, going 2-1 with a 2.56 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 7.2 K/9 over seven starts. If he continues to pitch anywhere near that level in the second half, he'll certainly be one to own in mixed leagues. However, avoiding him in his first start back on the road against the Cubs is a smart idea.

Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Clay Buchholz (oblique), who was scheduled to throw around 75 to 80 pitches with High-A Visalia on Thursday, is expected to rejoin the rotation on Tuesday against the Cubs in place of starting pitcher Shelby Miller (elbow). Buchholz has been a nice surprise for Arizona this year, going 2-1 with a 2.56 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 7.2 K/9 in seven starts. However, he's not an enticing fantasy streamer against a strong Cubs team in his first start off the disabled list.

Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Clay Buchholz (oblique) has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a strained left oblique. The veteran righty suffered the injury during his start on Sunday versus the Pirates. Buchholz does not think the injury is serious, but he'll take four days off from throwing. He'll likely need more than the minimum DL stay. Fantasy owners who own Buchholz should hold onto him unless a better option becomes available.
