Yelich (back) remains out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Though he'll be out of the lineup for the third day in a row, Yelich has reportedly shown improvement in his recovery from back stiffness, per Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Yelich ramped up his activity and was spotted running in the outfield Monday, perhaps paving the way for him to return to the lineup as soon as Tuesday. Tyrone Taylor will cover left field in Yelich's stead Monday.

Yelich (back) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Yelich was a precautionary scratch from Saturday's lineup due to a back issue, and he'll sit again for Sunday's series finale in the Bronx. Manager Craig Counsell labeled the outfielder as day-to-day, so there doesn't appear to be significant concern for the injury at this point. Tyrone Taylor, Sal Frelick and Mark Canha will start from left to right in the outfield while William Contreras rests his legs as the designated hitter.

Brewers manager Craig Counsell said after Saturday's win over the Yankees that the decision to scratch Yelich (back) from the lineup was precautionary, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Yelich has a long history of back issues, and because of that Counsell said the team has a good feel when to push things or give his outfielder a day or two. With an afternoon game on the docket Sunday, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Yelich be held out until Monday when the Brewers return home to host the Marlins.

Yelich was scratched from Milwaukee's lineup ahead of Saturday's game against the Yankees due to lower-back soreness.
EDGE Analysis
The former NL MVP is slashing just .125/.241/.167 since the start of September, and back problems will hold him out of Saturday's contest. Tyrone Taylor will replace Yelich in left field and bat ninth.

Yelich went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run in a 6-2 victory versus the Cubs on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Yelich helped Milwaukee get off to a fast start, swatting a 416-foot solo shot to lead off the game in what became a four-run half-inning. The long ball was his first since July 30, a span of 24 games. Yelich has fallen back a bit in August, but he's still putting up his best season since his 2018 with a .282/.370/.451 slash line, 17 homers, 68 RBI, 93 runs and 28 thefts in 30 attempts over 559 plate appearances.

Yelich went 1-for-4 with a run scored and two steals in Wednesday's 8-7 win over the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Yelich singled and stole second in his first trip to the plate before coming around to score Milwaukee's first run of the game. He later swiped another bag after drawing a walk in the ninth, marking just the second time this season in which he's recorded two steals in a game. The veteran outfielder is now up to 27 steals on the season after swiping just 19 bags in his 2022 campaign. He's also hit safely in three straight games and in 12 of his last 14.
