Rusin (heel) was activated from the 10-day DL on Thursday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rusin will return to the bullpen after appearing in a trio of minor-league games over the past week. He should be immediately available during Thursday's game against the Dodgers. In a corresponding move, the Rockies demoted Yency Almonte to Triple-A.

Rusin (heel) covered 1.1 innings in relief Sunday for Triple-A Albuquerque in his second rehab appearance with the affiliate. He gave up two earned runs on three hits and walk and struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
While Rusin wasn't particularly sharp Sunday, he didn't report any setbacks during the outing and should soon be ready to return to the big club. The Rockies may want to see Rusin pitch on back-to-back days in the minors before activating him from the 10-day disabled list.

Rusin (heel) tossed live batting practice Wednesday without any issue, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rusin was placed on the 10-day disabled list July 24 due to plantar fasciitis. Following his latest throwing session, he said his foot feels good, and if he can get through Thursday without any soreness, he'll embark on a minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Albuquerque by the end of the week.

Rusin was placed on the 10-day disabled list with plantar fasciitis on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Rusin had a 6.81 ERA in 39.2 innings for the big club prior to hitting the shelf. He trades places with Harrison Musgrave (hip), who was activated from the DL in a corresponding move.

Rusin produced a 2.31 ERA in his final 12 appearances before the All-Star break.
EDGE Analysis
2018 has been a down year for the veteran lefty, as his season ERA sits at a lofty 6.18 mark despite the recent string of strong appearances. Home runs and lack of control are largely to blame, as his 1.6 HR/9 and 4.4 BB/9 are easily career highs. However, he hasn't allowed a homer since June 7 and walked just seven hitters since then. If Rusin can keep this up in the second half, he could see more high-leverage situations again and gather more holds down the stretch.

Rusin has allowed a run in all but one of his seven appearances since returning from the disabled list.
EDGE Analysis
Entering the month of May, the long reliever possessed a middling 4.97 ERA and 1.34 WHIP. Those figures have ballooned to 7.29 and 1.57, respectively, following Saturday's debacle against the Reds in which he allowed two runs and failed to record an out. Rusin was quietly one of the Rockies' top relievers last season, producing a 2.65 ERA in 85 frames, but he hasn't been able to recapture that feel at all this year. It's unclear if the intercostal strain that sidelined him in April is still affecting him or not, though it would go a long way in explaining his struggles.

Rusin (ribs) was reinstated from the 10-day disabled list Friday, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rusin wound up spending 12 days on the DL due to a right intercostal strain. He was able to throw a bullpen session last weekend and didn't experience any discomfort over the past few days, so he should be fully operational heading into a series against the Mets. Over eight appearances out of the bullpen this season, he's logged a 4.97 ERA and 1.34 WHIP.

Rusin (ribs) completed a bullpen session Sunday and could be activated from the 10-day disabled list later this week, Glenn Sattell of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rusin threw off flat ground a couple days prior to the bullpen session after first hitting the DL on April 23 with the right intercostal strain. The reliever is first eligible to come off the DL on Wednesday, but based on where he's at in his recovery, it sounds like he could need slightly more than the minimum amount of time before being activated. Rusin plans to throw a simulated game Monday or Tuesday, which would be one the final hurdles the left-hander would needed to clear in order to rejoin the Colorado bullpen.

Rusin was placed on the 10-day disabled list Monday with a right intercostal strain.
EDGE Analysis
Rusin apparently picked up the injury during his relief appearance against the Cubs on Sunday, when he struck out four and walked one batter across 1.2 scoreless innings of work. It's unclear how long the issue will keep him sidelined at this point, but he'll be eligible to return as early as May 3 should he prove ready. Harrison Musgrave was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move and will likely take Rusin's place in the Rockies' bullpen as a long reliever for the time being.

Rusin allowed two runs on two hits and a walk in Monday's win against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw was handed the ball for the ninth inning in a 7-2 ballgame, but he proceeded to turn the game into a save situation following a homer by Cory Spangenberg and an RBI triple by Jose Pirela. Rusin is off to a rough start to the season, as he also allowed three runs in his first outing against the Diamondbacks. He was an integral part of last year's bullpen, but given his low strikeout numbers, he'll need to right the ship fast to win back trust in fantasy.
