Chris Perez (shoulder) pitched a perfect inning Tuesday in a rehab appearance with Class A Mahoning Valley. Perez struck out one batter. The scoreless appearance should be enough to convince the Indians that he's ready to come off the disabled list.

Chris Perez (shoulder) will make another rehab appearance Tuesday with Class A Mahoning Valley. Perez hoped to return after making it through a bullpen session Sunday, but the Indians want him to pitch in another game first. If all goes well, he should be activated on Wednesday or Thursday.

Chris Perez (shoulder) is expected to throw a bullpen session early next week before being activated from the disabled list. Perez has been out since May 26 due to shoulder soreness. If he can make it through a bullpen session on Tuesday, he'll officially be cleared to return from the DL.

Chris Perez (shoulder) believes he's ready to be activated from the disabled list following a successful simulated game Sunday. Perez said after the throwing session that it's the best he's felt in a long time. The Indians haven't announced anything yet, but it sounds like they should get their closer back this week.

Chris Perez (shoulder) will be re-evaluated after a bullpen session on Friday. Perez had been scheduled for activation that day, but that's been pushed back after he allowed three homers and five runs in a rehab appearance Tuesday. He's feeling fine physically, but the Indians want him to work on his mechanics, as they think he was coming open a little too soon in his delivery. Vinnie Pestano will continue to close for the Tribe for now.

Chris Perez (shoulder) will not be activated from the disabled list this Friday. The original plan was to bring him back for the weekend but Perez yielded three homers (and five runs in total) during a rehab appearance Tuesday night at Double-A Akron. The Indians want to get him a little more work against minor league competition. Vinnie Pestano will remain the Indians' primary ninth-inning man.

Chris Perez (shoulder) allowed three homers and five runs in an inning of work in his second rehab appearance with Double-A Akron. Perez gave up five hits overall and also hit a batter. The right-hander was supposed to be activated from the disabled list on Friday, but the Indians might re-think that after tonight's showing. Vinnie Pestano owners should hang on to him.

Chris Perez (shoulder) will throw one inning Sunday in a rehab game with Low-A Lake Country. Perez tossed multiple bullpen sessions this week and had no issues with his right shoulder. He is on track to return to the Indians' bullpen within the next 3-4 days and should slide back into the ninth-inning role almost immediately. Perez is 6-for-8 in save opportunities this season for Cleveland.

Chris Perez (shoulder) threw off a mound Tuesday with no issues. He'll throw from the bump again on Friday before being sent out on a rehab assignment. Perez shouldn't need too many rehab appearances before being activated, so he should rejoin the Tribe's bullpen sometime next week if all goes well.
