Gardner will start in center field and bat ninth Wednesday against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
After sitting out five times in a six-game stretch last week, Gardner looked like he had moved into a fourth-outfielder role for New York. However, he'll end up picking up a fourth consecutive start Wednesday, perhaps suggesting that his time as a near-everyday player hasn't yet come to an end. Even so, Gardner's .213 batting average and declining power and speed probably won't make him worthy of rostering outside of AL-only leagues.

EDGE Analysis
Gardner will be out of the lineup for the fifth time in the last six games as Aaron Judge continues to see increased time in center field. Joey Gallo, Judge and Giancarlo Stanton will start in the outfield from left to right.

Gardner went 1-for-4 with a solo home run as the Yankees defeated the Athletics, 7-6 on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Starting in center following an injury scare, Gardner launched his sixth home run of the season in the second inning to pad New York's early lead. Though he's slashing an uninspiring .214/.328/.335, the veteran outfielder has come alive in August with a .291/.403/.455 line in 55 at-bats.

Gardner (arm) is not in the lineup Tuesday versus Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Gardner will be out of the lineup for the third straight contest after being hit by a pitch on the arm Friday. It doesn't appear to be a serious injury, as the veteran outfielder had two plate appearances off the bench Monday. Joey Gallo, Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton will start from left to right in the outfield Tuesday as the Yankees are without a designated hitter in a National League park.

Gardner (arm) is not in the lineup Monday against Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Gardner is experiencing some stiffness after being hit by a pitch in the arm Friday, and he'll remain out of the starting nine Monday. Joey Gallo, Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton will start from left to right in the outfield, so there's a chance Gardner would be on the bench regardless of the injury.

Gardner isn't starting Saturday's game against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Aaron Boone said Gardner is "stiff and sore" after he was hit by a pitch in Friday's win over Minnesota, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports. Boone is hopeful that the 37-year-old will be back in the lineup within a day or two, but Aaron Judge will shift to center field while Giancarlo Stanton starts in right.

Gardner went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Thursday's 9-8 loss to the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Gardner picked up both of his hits off of Chicago starter Lance Lynn, singling in the third inning and homering to right field in the sixth. The homer was the fifth of the year for Gardner, who appears to be finding his stroke in recent weeks. The 37-year-old is 8-for-23 (.348) over his last seven games and is hitting .295 with a .392 on-base percentage in his last 15 contests.
