Anderson (2-5) has been diagnosed with a bone bruise on his right knee after exiting Monday's start against the Diamondbacks in the second inning, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. He struck out one while taking the loss, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk across 1.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson reportedly suffered the injury while hitting in the top half of the inning before the issue worsened when he took the mound for the bottom half. It's very possible that the discomfort he experienced contributed to his shaky second inning, in which he allowed three runs on five hits while recording just one out. While the initial diagnosis appears to signal a minor injury, the veteran left-hander will likely be further evaluated to determine if there's anything more serious going on. Anderson can be considered questionable to make his scheduled start against the Cubs next week.

Anderson exited Tuesday's start against the Diamondbacks with right knee discomfort.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson allowed three runs on five hits before being replaced by Trevor Richards with one out in the second inning. He'll be further evaluated before the Brewers determine the severity of the issue and he can be considered questionable to make his next start, which currently lines up to take place next Monday against the Cubs.

Anderson exited his Monday start against the Diamondbacks with one out in the second inning due to an undisclosed issue, Zach Buchanan of The Athletic reports. He allowed three runs on five hits before being replaced by Trevor Richards.
EDGE Analysis
The reason for Anderson's early departure isn't known at this point. Anderson landed on the IL in later April with a hamstring strain and ultimately missed just over two weeks, so it's possible his exit is related to that previous issue. The Brewers will likely provide an update in the near future, with the hope that they won't have to add to the veteran southpaw's lengthy list of trips to the injured list throughout his career.

Anderson didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 2-1 extra-inning loss to the Reds, giving up only one hit and one walk over seven scoreless innings. He struck out nine.
EDGE Analysis
Against a Cincinnati offense that has mostly tormented southpaws, Anderson was absolutely brilliant, tossing 55 of 82 pitches for strikes and not allowing a runner past second base. The nine strikeouts were a season high for the veteran hurler -- in fact, he hadn't fanned more than four in any start prior to Tuesday. Unfortunately, neither team scored until the 10th inning, and he wasn't rewarded with a win. It was only Anderson's second quality start of the year, and he'll carry a 4.24 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 30:15 K:BB through 46.2 innings into his next outing.

Anderson (2-4) allowed five runs (four earned) on five hits and two walks while striking out none across three innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson surrendered all of his runs in the first two innings. He did run into some bad luck, as two hitters reached base on infield singles. However, he's now failed to work five innings in five of his last six starts -- excluding one outing shortened by injury. In that same span, he's allowed 14 earned runs across 22.1 frames while striking out only 13 and walking 10.

Anderson allowed three earned runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out one Thursday against the Diamondbacks. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson was given a four-run lead in the third inning, but he couldn't work deep enough into the game to qualify for the win. Though he allowed at least one baserunner in every frame, Anderson worked four scoreless innings before surrendering a two-run homer to Carson Kelly. Anderson has now failed to complete five innings in four of his last five starts. For the season, he's maintained a 4.42 ERA with a 21:12 K:BB across 36.2 frames.

Anderson didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Reds, allowing two runs on four hits over five innings. He struck out three without walking a batter.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran southpaw gave up solo shots to Scott Heineman and Jesse Winker in the third inning but was otherwise in control as he tossed 38 of 65 pitches for strikes. Anderson still exited the game in line for his fourth loss before the Brewers took the lead in the top of the sixth. He'll take a 4.34 ERA and 17:8 K:BB through 29 innings into his next outing.

Anderson (2-3) was tagged with the loss Saturday against the Braves after allowing four runs on eight hits and three walks while fanning three across 3.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson couldn't even get out of the fourth inning and tied his season-worst mark in runs allowed, while also giving up a season-high tally in hits and fanning three or fewer for the fifth appearance in a row. The left-hander will attempt to bounce back when he takes the ball next week at Cincinnati.

Anderson (hamstring) pitched three shutout innings versus Miami on Sunday. He allowed two hits and a walk while striking out three in a no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson threw only 52 pitches (31 strikes) in his return from a two-week absence with a strained right hamstring. He's posted a 3.54 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 11:5 K:BB across 20.1 innings this season. Anderson may still face a limited workload for another start or two as he gets back up to speed. He lines up to face Atlanta next weekend.
