The move from Atlanta to Anaheim should provide a nice boost to Phillips' fantasy value.

No team in the majors has had less production from the second base spot in terms of wOBA (.258) than the Angels, so Phillips presents a significant upgrade and should slot into a regular role with his new club.

That could entice a team to trade for Phillips prior to the August 31 waiver deadline, and if he shows the ability to play a capable third base, it would probably only enhance his value in the eyes of contending clubs. Even if Phillips does see more time at third base, it seems unlikely that he'll start as regularly as he did in the first three months of the season, so that could cause him to lose some appeal from a fantasy standpoint.
