Rendon (lower leg) has not progressed to any on-field work, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
When asked whether Rendon's recovery had progressed, manager Phil Nevin stated, "It depends on which day you ask him. It comes and goes each day." Rendon was shifted to the 60-day injured list Friday, meaning he can't return until Sept. 9. However, his return at that point appears to be in doubt.

Rendon was transferred to the 60-day injured list Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Angels Manager Phil Nevin said July 22 that Rendon would be shut down from baseball activities for at least two weeks after it is was discovered that he had a deep bone bruise in his left shin. Now that he is on the 60-day IL, the soonest he could return is Sept. 9. Mike Moustakas and Eduardo Escobar will continue to share time at third base in his place.

An MRI taken Saturday on Rendon's left shin revealed a deep bone bruise, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Angels manager Phil Nevin added that there is bleeding in the bone and said Rendon will need to rest for at least the next two weeks. He's been on the shelf since July 11 and can be ruled out through mid-August given the buildup process that will have to follow this two-week shutdown period. Mike Moustakas and Eduardo Escobar should continue sharing time at third base for the Halos.

Rendon (shin) had yet to resume on-field workouts as of Friday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
There have been very few status updates on Rendon since he landed on the injured list July 14 due to a left shin contusion that he suffered the week before the All-Star break. The 33-year-old first baseman has appeared in only 43 games for the Angels this season and is slashing just .236/.361/.318 when healthy.

Rendon (left shin contusion) was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Rendon was in the midst of a 4-for-47 (.085 average) slump over his last 14 games before suffering the injury July 4. Michael Stefanic and Trey Cabbage were added to the active roster to bolster the infield in the short term.

Rendon (lower leg) remains on the bench for Saturday's game against the Dodgers, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rendon has been out of action since fouling a ball off his shin Tuesday against the Padres. The Angels' break starts a day early, so unless Rendon appears off the bench Saturday, he's already made his final appearance of the first half. Assuming his shin injury is nothing worse than a bruise, he should have ample time to heal by the time the Angels resume play next Friday.

Rendon (shin) could return to the Angels' lineup as soon as Friday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rendon is not in Wednesday's lineup after fouling a ball off his left shin Tuesday. The Halos aren't putting him on the injured list yet, though, because he could be ready after the off day Thursday. Rendon will be evaluated the next two days and if it's determined he does need to go on the IL, he'd be eligible to return the second game after the All-Star break.

Rendon (shin) is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Padres, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rendon had to be lifted from Tuesday's game in San Diego due to a left shin contusion after fouling a ball off his leg. The good news is X-rays came back clean and Rendon is still listed on the Angels' lineup card as a reserve, so it appears he'll avoid the injured list. Eduardo Escobar is playing third base Wednesday.

Rendon was pulled from Tuesday's game against San Diego with a left shin contusion.
EDGE Analysis
X-rays came back negative after Rendon fouled a ball off his left leg. While it appears he avoided serious injury, a stint on the injured list isn't completely out of the question. Eduardo Escobar figures to see an uptick in playing time should Rendon sit out.
