Pagan will be held out of the starting lineup for Saturday's matchup with Washington.
EDGE Analysis
Pagan had made 25 consecutive starts coming into Saturday but will get a maintenance day as Gregor Blanco fills in in left and bats eighth. During that 25-game stretch, Pagan slashed .278/.316/.491 with 12 runs and RBI apiece.

Pagan went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in Friday's 5-1 loss to the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran outfielder provided the only offense on the night for the Giants, his second homer over the first four games of August. The blast also extended Pagan's hitting streak to a modest five games and brought his season line to a solid .282/.327/.433.

Pagan will be given the day off Saturday, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pagan hasn't had an off day other than the All-Star break since June 24, so he'll get a much deserved break for Saturday's game in Washington. In Pagan's absence, Gregor Blanco will likely draw the start in left field Saturday.

Pagan went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and two runs scored Tuesday in Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
Pagan's sixth-inning blast put the Giants up 8-7 and got starter Madison Bumgarner off the hook, but it was the last offense the Giants could muster in a 13-8 loss. The 35-year-old is no longer a threat for 20-plus steals, but his .284/.327/.432 line shows that his bat isn't slowing down at all.

Pagan went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Monday's 7-5 loss to the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Pagan isn't known for his power, but he hit an absolute bomb off of Reds' starter Anthony DeSclafani in the fifth inning of Monday's contest. He is putting together a solid month of July, batting .270 with three homers and a pair of stolen bases in 74 at-bats. Health is always a concern with the 35-year-old outfielder, but Pagan is proving to be a useful fantasy asset when he is able to stay on the field.

Pagan went 3-for-5 with a double, a triple and a run scored in Sunday's loss to the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
He's now hitting a solid .317 (19-for-60) over his last 14 games, although his production in the counting stats is fairly modest over that stretch (two homers, four RBI, seven runs and two steals). For the third time in four years Pagan has had trouble staying healthy, but when he is on the field he can still provide some value.

Pagan went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 4-2 win over Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
Pagan continues to produce since returning from the disabled list June 14, batting .304 with two homers and three steals over that span. He is batting second in the lineup with Joe Panik (concussion) sidelined, which should keep his run-producing opportunities high. Pagan provides a little bit of everything from a fantasy perspective, making him a valuable fantasy asset while he is locked in and healthy.

Pagan homered as part of a 2-for-4 game in Monday's win over Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
Pagan was hitless in his first 10 July at-bats before his Independence Day explosion. With four home runs, Pagan has already topped his totals from each of the past two years, but he hasn't reached double-digits since 2010 with the Mets and shouldn't be expected to do so this year. Still, at .289/.336/.423, he has given the Giants solid production out of center field.

Pagan (general soreness) is back in the lineup Monday against the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Pagan was held out of action Sunday due to what was described as general soreness, but the veteran will return to center field and bat leadoff for the Monday afternoon showdown against Colorado. The San Francisco outfield has been particularly taxed of late with Denard Span (neck) and Gregor Blanco (knee) both nursing respective ailments, so Pagan's presence in the lineup will provide a much-needed offensive boost.

Updating a previous report, Pagan is out of the lineup due to general soreness, freelance reporter Andrew Baggarly reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's not too surprising to see this explanation given, as Pagan had reached nine consecutive starts only one other time this season. That being said, his status is worth monitoring heading into Monday's matchup against the Rockies.
