Cashner (9-4) allowed six runs (five earned) on eight hits and two walks while striking out two across five innings to take the loss Tuesday against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Cashner was shaky to begin the game, allowing multiple hits in each of his first three innings. He then settled down until the sixth frame when he allowed his second home run of the contest, which knocked him out of the game. His skills weren't much better than his results as he began just 13 of the 25 batters he faced with a strike and generated only five swinging strikes. Cashner will look to bounce back in his second start with his new team, drawing a start at Baltimore -- his former club -- on Sunday.

Cashner was traded from the Orioles to the Red Sox on Saturday in exchange for 17-year-old prospects Elio Prado and Noelberth Romero.
EDGE Analysis
Cashner's 3.83 ERA through 17 starts this season isn't backed up by his peripherals, though he's done this before in the recent past, recording a 3.40 ERA in 2017 despite a 4.61 FIP and a 5.30 xFIP. He'll have to continue relying on soft contact going forward, as his poor 16.5 percent strikeout rate is still his best mark since 2015. The veteran should have better chances at wins in Boston but remains a shaky fantasy option at best. He'll serve as the Red Sox's fifth starter for the stretch run.

Cashner (9-3) won his third straight decision by pitching seven innings Saturday against the Blue Jays, allowing just one run on three hits with four strikeouts and no walks.
EDGE Analysis
Cashner was nicked for a single run on a Cavan Biggio RBI single in the fourth inning, but otherwise was in complete control. Over his last five starts, the 32-year-old has allowed only four earned runs over 32 innings, lowering his ERA to 3.83 and WHIP to 1.19, and he has a 66:29 K:BB overall.

Cashner (8-3) earned the win Saturday against the Indians after allowing only three hits over seven shutout innings. He struck out six and walked one.
EDGE Analysis
Cashner was thought to be scratched from Saturday's start but took the mound as scheduled only to deliver his best outing of the season. The 32-year-old has been lights out in June with a 1.44 ERA and 0.80 WHIP in four starts and lines up to start next weekend at Toronto.

Cashner will in fact start Saturday's game against the Indians, contrary to previous reports, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
He was scratched from the start earlier in the day, but speculation is that it was a weather-related decision, and now that it looks like the O's will fit the game in, and he will take the ball. It is good to know that he is not injured, but these unfortunate circumstances could have led to some regrettable fantasy decisions.

Cashner was scratched from his scheduled start Saturday against the Indians, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
There has been no word as to why Cashner was scratched, but Shawn Armstrong will serve as the emergency starter. If it is a minor issue, Cashner could return to start Monday's game, but for now his timetable is unclear.

Cashner allowed two runs on five hits with three strikeouts and one walk across six innings to earn a victory against the Mariners on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The 32-year-old actually gave up fewer runs in both of his last two starts, but this was his first win of the month. Cashner has pitched well in June, though, posting a 2.00 ERA over 18 innings. Overall, he is 7-3 with a 4.37 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 56 strikeouts in 82.1 innings this season. He will start next at home against the Indians next Saturday.

Cashner (6-3) gave up three runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk across six innings Monday, striking out two and taking the loss to Oakland.
EDGE Analysis
Despite allowing three runs and taking the loss, it wasn't a terrible start for the veteran right-hander. Cashner coughed up an RBI double to Matt Olson in the first inning before two runs crossed in the third on a throwing error by Chance Sisco. He allowed just one hit after that. Cashner will take a 4.48 ERA into Seattle on Saturday.

Cashner (finger) will start Monday against Oakland, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
A blister on his finger prevented Cashner from making his previously scheduled start Friday against the Red Sox, but he'll wind up being pushed back a few days rather than missing his start entirely. The veteran owns a 4.73 ERA in 13 starts for the Orioles this season.

Cashner (finger) believes his blister will be fine in a couple days and is tentatively scheduled to throw Sunday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cashner was scratched from Friday's start due to the blister, and Luis Ortiz was called up from Triple-A Norfolk to start in his stead. If all goes well Sunday, Cashner could seemingly avoid the injured list and miss only the one turn through the rotation.
