Allen Craig is out of the Cardinals' lineup for the second straight game Friday. Craig started the first game since Oscar Taveras' promotion but has now been benched for the last two. As suspected, he's in for a big drop in playing time.

Allen Craig is not in the Cardinals' starting lineup on Thursday afternoon against the Giants. Oscar Taveras is in right field, Matt Holliday is in left, and Jon Jay will play center. Craig has hit just .252/.301/.362 in 83 games this season and will be spending much more time on the bench now that the 21-year-old Taveras is getting a second chance in the majors.

Allen Craig went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and a run scored in Sunday's win over the Nationals. Craig singled and scored in the second inning, and he delivered an RBI with a double in the seventh. Craig's numbers have slowly crept back up toward normalcy after his terrible start, and his .257 batting average after the two-hit day represents the high water mark for the year.

Allen Craig went 2-for-4 with an RBI single in Friday's loss to the Blue Jays. His first-inning single off Marcus Stroman was the only offense of the evening for the Cardinals. Craig showed some signs of progress in May, but he's hitting just .208 (5-for-24) so far this month. Fantasy owners will have to hope that Friday is the start of something.

Allen Craig went 2-for-3 with a walk, an RBI double, and a solo home run in Thursday's loss to the Giants. Craig has turned it on after a tough first month and a half of the season. His OPS dipped below .600 in early May but is up above .700 as we near the start of June. His sixth inning blast off of Ryan Vogelsong was his sixth of the season and his two RBI give him 29 on the season along with a .255/.317/.397 slash line.

Allen Craig went 2-for-4 with a home run against the Yankees on Tuesday. Craig drove in a run with the bases loaded as a result of a fielding error in the third inning, but he took care of it himself with the solo home run in the fifth. It was his fifth of the season. The two-hit game was the latest in a stretch of games that suggest he's finding his timing at the plate after a miserable first month and a half -- in his last seven games, Craig is 12-for-29 (.414) with a homer and eight RBI. If you can still buy low on the 29-year-old, do it now.

Allen Craig went 2-for-4 and drove home a pair of runs in a losing effort against the Reds on Friday. Craig's two-run single off Homer Bailey in the fourth inning pulled the Cardinals to within a run at 3-2, but that would be as close as they'd get. He's started to pick up the pace offensively, hitting .353 (18-for-51) with a homer and 11 RBI in his last 13 games.

Allen Craig went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI single in Thursday's win over the Diamondbacks. Craig's seventh-inning RBI single broke a 2-2 tie and proved to be the winning run for the Cardinals. The first baseman has been mired in a season-long slump but reached base on three hits and two walks on Wednesday and had another multi-hit game on Thursday. The Cardinals certainly hope it's a sign he's ready to break out. Craig is slashing .239/.297/.364 on the year.
