LaRoche (back) went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in his return to the lineup Wednesday. Considering that he was able to appear in Tuesday's game as a pinch-hitter, LaRoche's injury doesn't seem to be too serious. Assuming that the seven-hour flight to Seattle on Thursday doesn't cause the injury to flare up, LaRoche should be ready to roll against Felix Hernandez on Friday.

LaRoche (back) is in the lineup Wednesday against the Phillies, Dan Kolko of MASN Sports reports. LaRoche was held out of the lineup Tuesday due to back tightness, but he managed to enter the contest later on as a pinch-hitter. He's evidently feeling better following the day out of the lineup, so he'll head back into the field to occupy his usual post at first base.

LaRoche is out of the lineup Tuesday due to back tightness, William Ladson of MLB.com reports. Manager Matt Williams said he expects LaRoche to return for Wednesday's finale against Philadelphia, so it seems the team is just taking precaution with the 34-year-old. LaRoche was red hot earlier this month but is just 4-for-24 (.167 average) over the past week, so a day off was likely coming anyway.

LaRoche is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Phillies. LaRoche's average has dropped from .276 to .266 over the past ten games, and a day off may help him clear his head following a 0-for-4, two-strikeout performance Monday night. Kevin Frandsen will man first base in his place and bat eighth for the Nationals.
