Cobb was brilliant Friday night versus the Yankees, striking out eight while allowing just six hits and one walk across 7.1 scoreless frames. Having now gone nine consecutive starts without a loss, Cobb appears to be stepping into the top spot of the Rays' rotation. Dating back to June 29, the 26-year-old hurler is 6-0 with a 2.24 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 9.1 K/9 over 56.1 innings. Cobb will return to the mound Thursday versus the Tigers.
