Janssen took his third blown save of the season, allowing three runs on four hits while retiring just two hitters in the Jays' 5-4 loss to Detroit on Friday night. Uhe usually very reliable Janssen uses pinpoint control (he has walked just three all season) rather than overwhelming stuff to take out opposing hitters. He was throwing strikes again, but he wasn't locating them and the Tigers took advantage. He served up a lead-off double, then back-to-back home runs to relinquish a 4-2 lead before another double sent him to the showers. He's been a bit more vulnerable the past couple of weeks, but barring an undisclosed injury, he should still have plenty of job security.
