Brandon McCarthy allowed nine hits and four runs over six innings but went home with the win over the Rangers on Tuesday. McCarthy turned in his worst start in four outings since joining the Yankees, but it was still good enough for his third win in pinstripes. McCarthy walked one while striking out three in the game. He's got a 2.55 ERA in those four starts as a member of the Yankees, and the change of scenery appears to have done him some good. McCarthy will try to keep the good times going Monday against the Tigers.
