Matt Wieters will undergo Tommy John surgery on his right elbow on Tuesday. Wieters attempted to avoid the worst-case scenario, but the discomfort in his elbow continued to linger. His season is over, as surgery will sideline him for nine months. The good news is that he should be close to 100 percent around the start of next season. The Orioles will move ahead with Nick Hundley as their main catcher for the rest of 2014.
