Jason Grilli was pulled after allowing one hit and three walks in the ninth inning against the Marlins on Friday. It was a nightmare inning for the Pirates, as Justin Wilson, Grilli, and Mark Melancon combined to give up four runs on one hit and six walks to send the game to extras. Grilli ended up being charged with two runs. Melancon was credited with the blown save after he walked in the tying run, but he managed to strike out Marcello Ozuna to get out of the jam. The Pirates eventually won the game in 13 innings.
