The Diamondbacks have been receiving interest in Montero from other clubs this offseason, the Arizona Republic reports. It's also believed that the Diamondbacks will move a middle infielder at some point, but Montero will be available relatively cheaply compared to free agent Russell Martin (Montero is owed $40 million through 2017 while Martin is expected to receive a deal worth significantly more on the open market), and the market for catching this winter is quite thin. Montero hit .243/.329/.370 with 13 homers and 72 RBI over 136 games for Arizona in 2014.
