Lee (elbow) is close to beginning a throwing program, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports. November had been the target for Lee to resume throwing for some time, but his agent, Darek Braunecker, indicated that the lefty is still on track to start up his program this month. An MRI in October showed that the flexor tendon in Lee's elbow is healing well, and so long as he doesn't have any hiccups in the coming months, Lee should be ready for spring training. The 36-year-old Lee posted a 8.0 K/9 in 13 starts in 2014, his lowest mark since 2010, while his swinging-strike rate (7.8%) was his lowest since 2007.
