Cruz declined the Orioles' $15.3 million qualifying offer Monday, Brittany Ghiroli of the Orioles' official site reports. Cruz had a monstrous 2015 season with the Orioles that he finished with a .271/.333/.525 batting line with 40 home runs and 108 RBI. It's no surprise that he declined his option, as he will likely find himself a large contract with multiple years in the offseason. He could still re-sign with the Orioles, but the club will receive a compensatory draft pick if the 33-year-old signs elsewhere.
