Sandoval rejected the Giants' qualifying offer and will become a free agent, ESPN reports. As expected, Sandoval will opt for free agency, rather than accepting the $15.3 million offer. After another strong season (.279/.324/.415, 73 RBI) and an impressive postseason, Sandoval is one of the biggest names on the market this offseason. The Giants will likely do everything they can to bring Sandoval back, though they'll have competition from other teams in position to offer him a lucrative contract. The 28-year-old made $8.25 million last season, so he's in for a substantial raise.
