The Rockies extended Cuddyer a $15.3 million qualifying offer Monday, the Denver Post's Patrick Saunders reports. He will have until 3 p.m. on Nov. 10 to accept or decline the offer, and profiles as perhaps the most likely player to accept a qualifying offer this offseason. This represents a fly in the ointment for Cuddyer's offseason plans, as he was looking for a two-year or three-year deal, but will almost certainly not receive one if he declines the qualifying offer now that first round draft pick is tied to signing him as a free agent. Of course, from a fantasy perspective, it would be great for him to remain in Colorado for one more season, and it would really hurt his 2015 value if he declined the option, as it could take until after the June draft for him to sign as a free agent, a la Stephen Drew last season.
