Middlebrooks (hand) is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees. Middlebrooks will miss his fifth straight game Saturday. The Red Sox were hopeful that he would be able to play again this season, but they probably will not force him into the lineup Sunday if he is still sore. Garin Cecchini will man the hot corner Saturday in Middlebrooks' place.
