Verlander pitched eight innings of one-run ball to pick up the win against the White Sox Wednesday, giving up just seven hits and striking out six. Verlander has been in vintage form his last two starts for a Tigers team that is desperately trying to hold of a hard-charging Kansas City team. Over those two starts he's pitched 15.1 innings and given up just two earned runs.
