Montero is out of the lineup Thursday against the Giants. Montero will sit in favor of Tuffy Gosewisch in the finale against San Francisco, after going 0-for-7 in the first two games of the series. The 31-year-old Montero is now batting .224/.319/.315 since the All-Star break and may sit more frequently over the final weeks of the season.
