Ruggiano (ankle) was transferred to the 60-day disabled list Tuesday, MLB.com's Carrie Muskat reports. Ruggiano's move to the 60-day DL comes as no surprise. He won't play again this season and the move opens up a spot on the 40-man roster for the plethora of call-ups the Cubs announced Tueday.
