Cobb worked a strong 6.1 innings Sunday afternoon, giving up two runs (one earned) on seven hits and a walk while striking out six in a tough-luck loss to the Red Sox. One of the AL's best pitchers so far in the second half of 2014, Cobb has now allowed two runs or less in each of his nine starts since the All-Star break. Over this outstanding stretch, the Rays' right-hander has posted a 1.42 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 9.5 K/9 across 57 innings. Cobb is scheduled to be back on the bump Friday against the Orioles.
