Miller worked seven solid innings Friday night versus the Cubs, allowing two earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three. After being tagged for a dozen earned runs and issuing 10 free passes over his last 17 innings, Miller rebounded with an encouraging effort Friday night. To say that the Cardinals' young righty has been a roller coaster of inconsistency this season would be an understatement. Maybe this nice outing will pave the way to a strong final month of the campaign for one of 2014's most disappointing fantasy hurlers.
